For Funk Sake are a Wedding and Function Band playing for clients across the north and available for bookings throughout the UK.

We play a selection of songs with Funk, Soul, Disco and Motown feels, so if you’re looking for a band for your Wedding or Event, you’ve come to the right place!

The core Funk Sake function band is a 6 piece band, comprising of vocals and rhythm. However, for larger venues and budgets, the band is available in different sizes up to 14 piece.

Here at For Funk Sake, we’ve listed the most common questions, as well as the things we think you should be asking of any band – regardless of whether you book us, or book someone else. Do you have insurance?

We do. We find it is common place today for venues to require this of any supplier, therefore we have cover for £2m, which can be extended up to £10m if the venue requires it

Can the band play my 1st Dance?

We can pretty much play any 1st dance you wish – with the exception of some types of musics (eg large orchestrations). Just let us know at the time of booking, so we can ensure it is possible

Do you have a song list?

We have a song list avaiable, which can be viewed online or this can be emailed to you. This is our “back catalogue” of songs we can play, which we will select from (and always adding to!) to create the set lists for your event. Also as our client, you can feed back on the types of somgs from the list that you may like playing on the night.

How do I book?

It’s pretty simple. Just head on over to our Contact page, where you’ll find an online form which you can fill out with your details – or, you can find our number and give us a call. Once you’ve contacted us, we will check our calendar to confirm availability, give you a quote, and if you’re happy we then send you the booking contract.

Do you have a rider?

No ‘diva’ requests for purple smarties here! We have a contract, which requests somewhere to get changed, and for soft drinks and some food to be provided, as we’re often on site for up to 8 hours, and performing for at least 1.5 hours of that. It’s thirsty work!

How long do you need to set up?

Normally, we request approx 1.5 hours to set up and sound check, so that we know we’re ready when we need to start the performance later in the evening. Often, we can set up and be ready in less time, but we’re flexible though, so will work with you if you have tight timescales.
